Fine porcelain coffee pot with domed lid & matching tall milk jug

Coffee pot size: 10.5" tall with a 2.5" opening and a 4" round base

Milk jug size: 6 1/6" tall with a 2" opening and a 2 5/8" round base

Gold trim, hand painted hand colored floral pattern of lush flowers in a curving arc

Incredible handles in a Japanese inspired bamboo look- this was extremely in vogue in France during the Victorian era.

Handles are a beautiful shade of blush pink with white anchor points and gold Xs

Faintly embossed vertical lines in porcelain at top rim and around base. Same on coffee pot lid.

This beautiful coffee pot has a classic elegant shape with wonderful domed lid with a bamboo finial top. Milk jug was not made with a lid, but has a matching shape. This style shape was known as a JAPAN SHAPE in France at the time.

White shiny glaze inside and out.

This set is quite rare and almost impossible to find in this pattern. Circa mid-late 1800s, France. A stunning duo.

Each piece has a hand painted gold gilt number on the underside: 1688 on coffee pot and 1658 on milk jug

Excellent condition, some slight wear to gold gilt trim normal for age but much of the gold still remains. Porcelain is PRISTINE absolutely no damage or flaws, no nicks chips cracks scratches crazing or fading to colors. Very glossy. Both look unused inside and out- sparkling clean. One tiny dot of gold gilt paint on coffee pot base, not damage, see last pic.

A beautiful coffee set for a collector, will look beautiful on display or in use.
